ロシアによるウクライナ侵攻について（石崎学長メッセージ）/ In Response to Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine（Message from President Ishizaki）

今回のロシアによるウクライナ侵攻は、武力による一方的な現状変更の試みであり、到底容認て?きるものではありません。またウクライナ国内の核施設を攻撃したとの報道について深甚なる恐怖感をもって受け止めています。

加藤周一氏（評論家 1919-2008）はソヴィエト連邦のチェコスロバキア軍事介入に際して「一九六八年の夏、小雨に濡れたプラハの街頭に相対していたのは、圧倒的で無力な戦車と、無力で圧倒的な言葉であった。」（『言葉と戦車』）と記しています。

群馬大学は、言葉が大きな力となり、平和が回復し、無辜の人々が傷つくことが無い日が一日も早く来ることを願って、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻に強い抗議の言葉を発します。

In Response to Russia’s Invasion of Ukrain（Message from President Ishizaki）

In the name of the community of Gunma University, I condemn the invasion of Ukraine by troops of the Russian Federation. Such an attempt to change the status quo by force is utterly unacceptable. We are also appalled by the news of the Russian’s attack on the nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

KATO Shuichi（critic 1919-2008） wrote about the Soviet military intervention in Czechoslovakia that “in the summer of 1968, overwhelming-but-powerless tanks and powerless-but overwhelming words confronted each other on the street with drizzling rain in Prague”(“Kotoba to Sensha” – Words and Tanks).

We at Gunma University come together and believe in the power of words to ensure peace prevails in Ukraine. The act of aggression by force by Russia is unacceptable and is condemned in the strongest terms.
